LOUDNESS

Quite a few brilliant Hard Rock and Heavy Metal have emerged from the far east - and LOUDNESS might be both one of the finest AND the most popular band of them being reknowned and acclaimed all around the world. They were the first Japanese Metal artists to get signed by an international label and their release 'Disillusion' is considered a classic and an important influence by many American and European musicians just until today. When founding member and guitarist Akira Takasakis managed to put the original line up back together in 2001 to celebrate the 20th band anniversary, the second glorious era in the history of LOUDNESS was about to beginn. In spite of the tragic loss of drummer Munetaka Higuchi, who suffered from cancer and died in November 2008, the band has struggled on and is still around, having released an new album called 'The Sun Will Rise Again' in 2014.
