Manimal, a Swedish heavy- and power-metal band, was founded in 2001. In 2009, they released their debut album "The Darkest Room", which reached number 36 on the Swedish album charts. Their unique mix of powerful melodic metal and progressive elements quickly established them as the genre's rising stars. After working on their second album "Trapped in the Shadows" for several years, they finally released it and combine the power of Judas Priest's "Painkiller"-era with the finesse of Queensryche. The album is characterized by melodic themes and includes guest vocals by the legendary singer Udo Dirkschneider. Achim Koehler, an expert in powerful metal sounds, mixed and mastered the album.

Manimal's album "Purgatorio" presented a modern and progressive approach to power metal, filled with energy, talent, and new ideas. With their newest album "Armageddon", the band continues to prove their exceptional abilities and versatility by speaking to fans of old-school and contemporary heavy- and power-metal sounds. As a band that was heavily influenced by Judas Priest, King Diamond, and Queensrÿche, their new album is a dynamic and uncomplicated homage to the music that inspired their establishment twenty years ago.
