VICTORY

When they announced the end of their career in 1994 with the release of the double live album 'Liveline', VICTORY was among the first ranks of German hard rock acts. Albums like 'Culture Killed The Natives' or 'Temples of Gold' cracked not just the local charts, but also achieved international success. No wonder, as the fresh, catchy hard rock didn't have to hide behind similar sounding American bands like DOKKEN or RATT. That first farewell was to be short-lived, however: in 1996, another VICTORY album called 'Voiceprint' was released, which, regardless of its qualities, remained commercially unsuccessful: The grunge era of the 90s had found another victim. But they are back: band leader Herman Frank hasjoined forces with singer Gianni Pontillo (from THE ORDER in Switzerland) and with drummer Michael Wolpers (MOON'DOC), bassist Peter Pichl (ex-RUNNING WILD) and guitarist Mike Pesin (THOMSEN).
