It's pretty safe to say that - along with the famous RUNAWAYS - GIRLSCHOOL was the first all female band to stand its ground in the hard rock business. It might have been quite some struggle, yet the four ladies from Great Britain made their way and became one of UK's premier guitar driven acts of the genre. Supported by MOTÖRHEAD's very own Lemmy Kilmister and releasing audience acclaimed albums like 'Demolition' or 'Hit And Run', GIRLSCHOOL - often cited as the female pendant of MOTÖRHEAD - established themselves as a major player in the early 80ies, and they're still here, rocking and rolling as ever! In 2018, the band will celebrate its 40th anniversary including many very special live appearances. One of them will be the band's return to Balingen to be part of our next edition of BANG YOUR HEAD!!!.
