His distinctive skills coined SCORPIONS classics like 'Lovedrive', 'Coast To Coast' or 'Holiday', he leveraged the career of UFO with hits like 'Doctor Doctor', 'Only You Can Rock Me' and 'Rock Bottom', and finally, under the monicker of MSG, his outstanding talents were unbound completely: MICHAEL SCHENKER is without a doubt one the most important and influential rock guitarists ever to put his fingers on the six string.

During his time with MSG, he worked with some of the finest and most powerful voices around. In 2016, three of them joined him again for a very special project: the MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST featuring Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley. First, this line up thrilled the Japanese audience, and some months later it played a sensational show at BANG YOUR HEAD!!!, too.

What at first was supposed to be a loose cooperation for a limited number of live events turned out to be so much fun and satisfaction for everyone involved, that they not just continued to hit the stages of the world together, but - joined by TEMPLE OF ROCK singer Doogie White, too - also started to record a bunch of new songs finally featured on the 2018 release 'Resurrection'.

So the extraordinary project grew into an extraordinary band including four fantastic vocalists now - and as MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST, they'll all be at Balingen this summer to be part of BANG YOUR HEAD!!! 2019! It will be the one and only festival appearance this year in German.

Former MSG bassis Chris Glen and Steve Mann from the MCAULEY SCHENKER GROUP on keyboards and 2nd guitar will be part of the line up too, of course, and yet one member of the ensemble will sadly be missing: Ted McKenna, who can still be seen on the band picture up above, has tragically passed away on January 19th during a surgical procedure. Bodo Schopf, member of the MCAULEY SCHENKER GROUP from 1986 to 1990, will replace Michael Schenker's long time sidekick on the drums at all upcoming appearances. This show will be dedicated to Ted!
